菲爾茲獎得主吳寶珠教授出任香港大學講座教授
香港大學（港大）欣然宣布，2010年菲爾茲獎得主吳寶珠教授將於2026年6月起加入理學院數學系。吳教授因成功證明朗蘭茲綱領中的基本引理而享譽全球，這項突破解決了困擾數學界長達三十年的難題，更獲美國《時代》週刊評為2009年「十大科學發現」之一。 港大校長張翔教授表示：「吳教授的加入標誌著港大追求學術卓越的又一重要里程碑，進一步鞏固我們作為全球頂尖研究與人才匯聚之地的領導地位。我們期待這將成為開拓知識新疆界的催化劑，同時強化香港作為世界級學術樞紐的地位——東西交融於此，共塑未來學術藍圖。」 朗蘭茲綱領由數學家羅伯特·朗蘭茲於1967年提出，被譽為數學界最具革命性的理論框架之一，其核心在於連結數論與群論兩大數學分支。綱領中的基本引理歷經三十年未獲證明，直至吳教授於2009年提出精妙證明，不僅驗證了數十年研究成果，更為該理論體系開創全新研究方向。 吳教授於2010年創造歷史，成為首位榮獲菲爾茲獎的越南數學家——此獎項是數學界授予40歲以下研究者的最高榮譽。與阿貝爾獎並列，這兩項殊榮被視為數學領域的諾貝爾獎。他在數論與表示論的突破性成就 ，對數學物理學發展影響深遠。其卓越榮譽包括：克雷研究...
