Mrs. Cherry Tse provides strategic leadership for the University’s financial and administrative operations with a view to ensuring quality support for fulfilment of its education vision and mission.
Biography
Shortly after graduating from HKU with a B.A. degree in 1984, Cherry joined the Administrative Service of the Hong Kong Government. Her 38 years of service covers a wide range of areas including broadcasting, housing, international trade, preparation for China’s resumption of the exercise of sovereignty over Hong Kong, labour and poverty issues, public finance as well as policy on youth, arts, culture, sports, gambling, education, food safety and environmental hygiene. She was promoted in 2012 to the Staff Grade A1 level, the highest rank in the civil service.
Having reached 60 in 2022, she proceeded on pre-retirement leave and since then, has taken up pro bono roles in the non-profit sector straddling areas such as school education, performing arts, support for construction workers killed or injured at work, youth development and public health.
Cherry holds a Master of Public Administration from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government (1998) and a Master of Education from the Chinese University of Hong Kong (2005).

個人介紹
潔貞於1984年獲得香港大學文學士學位後不久，便加入香港政府的政務主任職系。在她38年的公共服務生涯中，涉足領域廣泛，包括廣播、房屋、國際貿易、與中國恢復對香港行使 主權相關的準備工作、勞工及扶貧問題、公共財政、青年、藝術、文化、體育、博彩、教育、食品安全及環境衛生等政策。她於2012年獲晉升為首長級甲一級政務官，此為公務員體系中的最高職級。
2022年，年屆60的潔貞開始退休前休假，並自此在非營利機構承擔多項義務工作，涉及學校教育、表演藝術、對傷亡建築工人的援助、青年發展及公共衛生等領域。
潔貞持有哈佛大學肯尼迪政府學院的公共管理碩士學位（1998年）及香港中文大學的教育碩士學位（2005年）。
